Guro Dorum joined the team at the Institute of Legal Medicine at the University of Zurich as a research scientist following a post doc at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). The focus of the post doc was statistics in forensic genetics, and included teaching courses in statistics and forensic statistic. She earned her MSc in bioinformatics and PhD in applied statistics at NMBU in the field of statistical genomics. Her main area of research is development of statistical methods for improved interpretation of forensic DNA evidence and genomics data. Current research interests include probabilistic interpretation of complex DNA mixtures and RNA profiles for body fluid interpretation.
