What should I bear in mind before an examination?

If evidence collection may be considered, you should avoid altering traces as far as possible. If possible:

  • do not shower or wash,
  • do not wash worn clothing,
  • keep worn clothing dry and stored separately,
  • if so-called knockout drops are suspected, have blood and urine samples taken as quickly as possible.

If you have already showered, washed or changed clothes, you should still seek advice or an examination. Help is still possible.
